Focus cavalry if it's out, watch for flanks, etc. If you know already; you will do a lot of damage with the double strike ability, this can be used to breakthrough enemy infantry and even catch enemy heroes inside their own units, they tend to need to reposition a lot so put on a mobility doctrine for them. Be wary of shields. (The polearm Lifesteal doctrine is meant to be their last doctrine, but the website does not have it implemented yet).

Increases damage dealt to unit by 120 points. Increases all types of damage by 80 points.
Samurai Assault Doctrine
Increases Double Strike damage by 15%.
Epic Leadership Doctrine
Reduces unit's Leadership cost by 16%.
