Monastics are slow, so keep them moving and take big corners to maintain their speed. They do well when X-ing through units as well due to their insane tankiness
Essentially heavy-hitter cavalry, they can go deep in penetration against the enemy and still (hopefully) come out with some remaining HP. They're very hard to kill due to many factors, however this can be further broken when adding on noble blood doctrines, making them essentially almost unkillable. (Noble Blood II can also be put on them but it's hard to try and get use out of it with this kind of unit). Last doctrine can be LDS, or if you want; more damage.

The knights charge forward to destroy their foes. Even if their charge is interrupted, it will stun units and heroes in front, and increase their damage taken by 30%. For every knight that is interrupted by a hero's crowd control attack, cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds, up to a maximum of 18 seconds.
