Like woju's build mentions, if you're going their top path, don't bother, bring other musket units that excel in that. Shenjis are all meant for their grenades which is where all their damage comes from anyway. Shenjis rare doctrine allows you to stay in the fight longer for one more grenade throw, put damage doctrines that are all based on blunt damage on them, as this will increase the damage the grenades do further, eventually getting your shenji up to 1000 blunt damage in their stats. Their other unique doctrines are too miniscule or unreliable to get use out of. (If you don't have the Epic Damage doctrine, don't worry, put in place of it the Purple Blunt damage doctrine (+90).
La creacion de la polvora a traido muchos avances tecnologicos como las granadas, y estos cabrones la usan bien
replace blue blunt damage with purple if you have it or siege fighter
Pra você que gostar de jogar com um Especialista, o Shenji e uma ótima tropa pra danifica tropas acumuladas, como não tem a doutrina de que Aumenta o dano Blunt em 90 que seria a ultima e deveras se tiver bote ela! For those who like playing with a Specialist, Shenji is an excellent troop for dealing damage to stacked troops. Since it doesn’t have the doctrine that increases Blunt damage by 90% (which would be the last one), it’s really worth it if you can add it.
Replace Epic Damage for Purple Blunt Damage Stop trying to find the perfect nade and start throwing volleys often
Unit veterancy progression
2 skills available
Orders the unit to fire a salvo on the designated area. Afterward, they will attack enemies in the area at will.
The unit throws grenades at the targeted area, dealing area-of-effect damage and knocking down enemy soldiers. For 10 seconds after using this order, the unit's shooting speed and accuracy is increased, and the unit will lay down suppressive fire on the targeted area. Using any other unit order during this period will cancel this effect. Grenade ammunition is counted separately from musket ammunition.
2 formations available
A loose formation that reduces unit vulnerability to ranged weapons.
The unit forms three ranks. Good for concentrating fire.
